We owe it to the world to be as alive as we can, to give what is unique in us to give. Art is a way of knowing our gift and learning how to give it.

“Art is a way of knowing”, – Pat Allen

Integrative and holistic approach

My approach to counseling is integrative and holistic, drawing on techniques from different types of therapy to tailor an approach specifically for you. Each person is unique and I am here to help you find your way through your problems, fears and life crisis. I see our therapeutic relationship as a partnership and you have a voice in the direction of your therapy. We will work together to understand the source of your anxiety, depression, unhappiness, physical discomfort, relationship problems, or unhealthy behavior patterns.

I enjoy working with a diverse range of people with a wide spectrum of needs and difficulties, and with a wide range of cultural backgrounds.

I offer individual and group therapy and facilitate creative workshops focused on self-care, well-being and self-discovery. For group work we use simple art therapy exercises to help us explore emotions and thoughts and gain new insights about ourselves and how we relate to the world around us.

Creativity plays an important role in developing healthy ways to tolerate distress and pain, to have compassion and respect for oneself, to restore, and to make changes that allow for purpose and meaning in life. I believe that art can help you to heal and to live.

Wellbeing

in the workplace

Wellbeing is a complex combination of a person’s physical, mental, emotional and social health factors.

By teaching your employees foundations of self-care and wellbeing I will help them be more equipped to combat feelings of stress and burnout in the workplace, and feel happier, healthier and more connected.

We will focus on aspects of wellbeing that you find most relevant for your employees at this moment. I can also offer Individual follow-up coaching or counseling sessions for your employees.

Mental health

in the workplace

Mental Health awareness workshop is designed to give employers and employees knowledge and insight into how to identify, understand and help individuals who may be developing these issues.

The top 5 mental health issues in the workplace are: stress, burnout, anxiety, depression and substance abuse.

We will talk about things you can do to help prevent mental health issues, improve mental health, and build resilience in the workplace.

Resilience

in the workplace

Personal resilience refers to how effectively you handle difficult experiences in your life. It is often described as the ability to ‘bounce back’ and grow despite difficult or challenging life experiences.

It’s having the mental, emotional, and behavioral flexibility and ability to adjust to both internal and external demands. Resilience is a key element in wellbeing. Workshop will include providing tools and tips to help you manage your mental state in adverse situations and help you bounce back quickly.

We will also look at the practical steps for building resilience in the workplace.
